Scope and Contents

Beaulieu sends New Year's greetings. Although Leray is no longer Bishop of Natchitoches, Beaulieu hopes he will receive news from one who was beneath his crozier. Since Beaulieu's return he sees that one of his best friends, Oscar Chopin, has died. He was a benefactor of the church. Sickness has disappeared with the cold weather; the normal health of his people leaves much to be desired. He has tried to organize a temperance society but he is preaching in the desert. May the new year see Leray able to pay off the debt of the archdiocese. :: VI-3-d A.L.S. French 3pp. 12mo.
