Chatellain, S.P.M., Father J., Paris, France, to Archbishop Napoleon Joseph Perché, New Orleans, Louisiana, 1882 October 7
Scope and Contents
Chatellain has good news of Perché; may his health strengthen. Chatellain has expressed his feelings in public in two articles in the Revue du Monde Catholique of August 1 and 15. Chatelain has carried out all the commissions which Perché gave him for France. Chatellain did not think he should go to Rome before receiving new instructions. Chatellain will preach in Lent this year at Notre Dame du Havre, the year after at St. Vincent de Paul in New York and in 1885 he will return to New Orleans for the third time to St. Augustine's. For some weeks Father F.A. Aigueperse, S.P.M. has been the American Provincial of the Fathers of Mercy and Superior of the New York house. :: VI-3-d A.L.S. French 3pp. 8vo.
