Branche, Father Blaise, Chataignier, Louisiana, to Archbishop Napoleon Joseph Perché, New Orleans, Louisiana, 1882 February 26

The work of enlarging the church of which Branche spoke to Perché at Lafayette, will be finished next Sunday. Now thanks to D.P. Lafleur and the Honorable C?S. Fontenot, Chataignier has a church 70 feet long. Soon they will begin repairs to the presbytery, and when all is finished Branche will ask Perché to send the two families mentioned a small picture with his signature.
