Dénoyel, Father Charles, Arnaudville, Louisiana, to Archbishop Napoleon Joseph Perché, New Orleans, Louisiana, 1881 November 16
Scope and Contents
Dénoyel thanks him for the permission to hold the fair. Despite the bad harvest and rain, in four hours they realized $331. He now asks authorization to use this to continue the work on the interior of the church. This is the wish of the people and it would be well to encourage their present good disposition. With Perché's permission, he hopes to go to France for his health next Spring and would like to push the work as rapidly as possible. As for the Millard debt, it will be reduced to almost nothing by next January, and there is nothing to fear from that side. :: VI-3-c A.L.S. French 4pp. 12mo.
