Scope and Contents
Contrary to the diocesan regulations, he performed a marriage at a home within the prohibited limits. He tried his best to get them to come to the chapel but seeing them decided to marry before the judge or minister he saw sufficient reason to act. It was not to defy the Church law that they refused to come to the chapel but for fear of being insulted on the way. Everything is arranged for the building of the church. The sale of the land s not yet ratified but he is sure the person selling the land will consent to everything. :: VI-2-j A.L.S. French 2pp. 12mo.
