In April he wrote Odin asking him to forward a letter to his Bishop Auguste Martin. The short occupation of Natchitoches by the Federals has perhaps given Odin an opportunity to communicate with Martin or at least have news from travelers coming from the Red Rover/ During the 18 months since he left Natchitoches all his inquiries have been in vain. :: VI-2-h A.L.S.
