The last time he was in New Orleans Foltier did not tell Odin of his definite decision to leave Attakapas at Easter. He has no more provisions; the situation grows worse with the times. His health is broken. The pews could not be rented because of the occupation by the Federals. Foltier has let the parishioners have their last year's pews, payable at Easter 1864. The rent should be around 2400. Foltier is selling what he has to get a little money; his cotton business is still there. He would like just a small place as assistant at New Orleans.
