Scope and Contents

The enclosed letter of Sister Mary Clara, S.C. of Donaldson will explain the motive of Burlando writing. Her statements lead him to conclude that the position of the Sisters of Charity in that town is no longer tenable. It seems that they can have neither school nor asylum and the people that used to be charitable to the orphans are in need of assistance themselves. If obliged to leave, times may soon get better when they may return. Burlando likes the place, the Sisters have labored hard to make it what it lately was. ` A.L.S. 2pp. ` Enclosure:
