Scope and Contents
Degay was on the point of becoming a soldier when he learned of Odin's arrival at the Grand Seminary from several of his old school-mates. Advised by them, he went to see Father? Le Gall, a professor of philosophy, who persuaded him to seek authorization from Odin to follow him with several of his school-mates. He began his studies in the College of Quimper and he ended them at the Minor Seminary of Pont-Croix. At the end of his rhetoric he passed an exam, to enter the seminary and he was admitted but because of circumstances be did not enter and sought another career. He took an exam for the Highways Department but there was no vacancy. He was 20 years old on August 4, he has a brother a priest in this diocese and two others soldiers. His parents joyfully consent to see him in the ecclesiastical state. :: VI-2-f A.L.S. French 3pp. 12mo.
