Keller has just received permission to spend from November to May in New Orleans. If Blanc wishes to employ him, he is at Blanc's service. Keller is worn out from his numerous missions and Bishop Thomas Langdon Grace has granted him leave. He asks if Blanc will give him something other than building churches to do.
