Zaza, Father E., Sturvis, Grisons, Switzerland, to Archbishop Anthony Blanc, New Orleans, Louisiana, 1859 October 4
Scope and Contents
Zaza writes for information about the American missions. They have some very good priests. There is one in particular who is about 29 years old and full of talent and virtue, who does not find enough challenge in Switzerland. Since the missions seem to be his vocation, Zaza is looking for a bishop who could use him. This priest speaks French, Italian, Latin, and Greek very well, and a little English and German. He has been a tutor in one of the best families of Italy. Zaza asks Blanc to see what he could do for him. :: VI-2-b A.L.S. French 2pp. 12mo.
