Scope and Contents
Layton sends a letter from the Bishop of Detroit, brought by Madam Beaumont who arrived last Saturday, with Mr. Slawson ? and his family. Beaumont, aided by her daughter, proposes to open a school; Slawson will advance whatever pecuniary assistance she may need. She hopes to enjoy Blanc's good will and approval.
