Lecuru, Father Emile, St. James, Louisiana, to Archbishop Anthony Blanc, New Orleans, Louisiana, 1858 April 5
Scope and Contents
Lecuru thought he would be able to present the First Communion children on Blanc's next visit to St. Michael for Confirmation. But seeking to keep in the parish, the children of the part next to St. John Baptist, he was obliged to put off the time of First Communion. He will take the occasion of Blanc's visit to the convent to ask him to come to St. James. There are also some adults for Confirmation and he has always counted on having Blanc during June. Lecuru has asked Mr. Crampon to show Blanc the plan for the enlargement of the church. Crampon seems to understand what is necessary in a Catholic church. :: VI-1-n A.L.S. French 3pp. 12mo.
