Andrieu asks for a dispensation for Alexander Jumonville of New Orleans to marry his sister-in-law Carmélita Véla. Since the death of his wife, his sister-in-law has served as their mother. Andrieu cannot leave the parish to attend the diocesan synod. Father Anthony Verrina, C.M . suffers from a kidney ailment.
