Blanc's letter of the 23rd was brought last night by Eugé ne Landaiche, the fiancé of Marie Emma Haydel . Mina read it to Landaiche who said that things had gone too far, that their marriage either by the judge or in the church was set for the 28th; that he had gone twice to see Blanc and Blanc had been absent. Landaiche had promised Mina that he would go to see Blanc; this morning he said he could not go because of a sick servant. He said that on Wednesday they would come to fulfill their duties at the church. Mina awaits anxiously for the reply which he prays will be favorable. :: VI-1-l A.L.S. French 1p. 12mo.
