Father Anthony Carius of the diocese of Vincennes has been here about a month which Mènard thinks Blanc should know. His situation is very painful. Carius seems to have desirable sentiments, faithful to all his duties as a Christian. Mènard asks Blanc to do for him whatever his kind heart suggests. Should he be permitted to say Mass here?
