Scope and Contents
Emile Droz, unbaptized and éleste Grandpré, Catholic, wish to marry and ask for a dispensation. Lavay would like to know whether he should ask a fee for this kind of dispensation and also for simple mixed marriages. The trustees having put the old church up for sale, it will be necessary before it is torn down, to take up the bodies of persons who have been buried beneath the altar. Besides Mr. Gros, father of Mrs. Sheppers, they say there are several other persons, all benefactors of the church. Should they be buried under the new church or taken to the cemetery. Mrs. Sheppers says she will abide by Blanc's decision. The church is to be sold next Saturday but the buyer will be given two months to demolish it. :: VI-1-j A.L.S. French 2pp. 4to.
