Guesdon, C.S.C., Father Isidore, New Orleans, Louisiana, to Archbishop Anthony Blanc, New Orleans, Louisiana, 1855 April 27
Scope and Contents
Guesdon asks Blanc to come to give the habit to two of their Sisters of the Holy Cross admitted in Chapter this evening. The day of the ceremony is to be next Sunday. They will lose the assistance of Father M.P. Rooney, C.S.C. who does not wish to remain at the St. Mary's Catholic Boys' Asylum . In talking with the children, Guesdon found several who had not been to Confession for a long time and several who had not made their Paschal duty and Rooney does not want to hear confessions which he is not sure of finishing. Guesdon understands the children well enough to hear them if he could do so in his room where they could speak more distinctly. :: VI-1-i A.L.S. French 3pp. 4to.
