As soon as he received Blanc's letter of the 24th, he set about gathering information about Pierre Bax . Bonnecaze knew him when he lived here as a grocer but has not heard anything about him since he left for Natchitoches. Bax lived here for 6 years and left for Natchitoches and after that for Mexico and from there to California and from there to Peru. The last news was from Lima.
