He regrets troubling Blanc a second time in so short a space. The offer he made Blanc a few days hence was rather out of place in consequence of the ecclesiastical arrangements just completed. He implores Blanc to throw no obstacle in the way of his appointment to a mission. If he can calculate on Blanc's silence as to his misfortune in the south, O'Hara can instantly secure an appointment. He has already suffered a reasonable shame for that error.
