John Miller, of this parish, born in Bornholm, Denmark, a Protestant, wishes to marry Elisabeth Martin, born in Alsace to Jacob Martin and Théèse Henseingre, Catholic. Comès tried to make them see the difficulties of mixed marriages. Miller decided to go to see Rousselon tomorrow in spite of the yellow fever. Everyone praises the engaged couple. Rousselon is to talk to Miller and make the decision. Comès would like to believe that the rumor is false about the illness of Father Jean Arthur Poyet? .
