Hafkenscheid, C.SS.R., Father Bernard, Baltimore, Maryland, to Archbishop Anthony Blanc, New Orleans, Louisiana, 1853 February 21
Scope and Contents
He has just learned by a letter from Mount St. Mary's of Emmitsburg that Father John Henri whom Blanc intends to incorporate into his archdiocese has been guilty, at the College, of conduct which would not permit Blanc to use him in Louisiana. Blanc will recall what Hafkenscheid told him in their conversation at Lafayette. As this priest, expelled form the College, may come directly to Blanc, Hafkenscheid hastens to warn him. Being about to leave Baltimore, he has hardly time to write these few lines. :: VI-1-e A.L.S. French 1p. 12mo.
