Scope and Contents
Odin had decided to go to New Orleans to attend the reception of the pallium but the boats were not running that soon. He received Blanc's letter on the Louisiana and it left only today for New Orleans. The ceremony is already over. He will arrive later. Mr. Matton, coming from San Antonio, says Bishop John Baptist Lamy will set out for Santa Fé toward the beginning or middle of March.
