His brother, Eugene Chataigné, is to come from France to New Orleans. It has been about a month since he heard from him and his parents. He asked Hypolite to write him and address it to Rousselon so that he would have it on his arrival. Hypolite has received sad news. His father died; they had to amputate one of his legs.
