A few days ago he went to see Father Auguste Martin to make a little retreat with him and to replace him during his absence. Martin said he would speak of the building of a Catholic church at Jackson. Martin knows these people and could give information about it. If he stays some time at Jackson will Rousselon send him a vestment and he will pay with Masses; also an old alb and cassock. He needs a compendium of St. Liguori and Gahan's sermons.
