He wrote some months ago to ask to join Blanc's diocese or to ask whether Blanc thought he would be accepted by Galveston. Since then, Chandrion accompanied a friend to Santiago where he learned from the papers that cholera raged in Blanc's city. God inspired him to offer his services to these unfortunates.
