If it arrives before Bazin receives his Bulls there will be no powers in the diocese. Hailandière rejoices in the favor Blanc evidences toward his successor. Hailandière cannot be indifferent to the future of a diocese he has loved so much and to which he gave the 12 best years of his life. He leaves the diocese in good shape. Humanly speaking he would have liked to stay to enjoy it a little but he has never been able to accustom himself to the episcopal responsibility.
