Scope and Contents
This morning Mullon called to see Father William Ivers who said that he would resume his duties tomorrow. Much is being said of him and Blanc is to ask him whether he knows Mrs. Tinsel who keeps a boarding house in Diamond's Row, and her sister, now Mrs. Flower . Another story is that he took a woman into his room. Meeting Mrs. Tinsel's sister in St. Patrick's, he begged her not to go to confession to anyone here, but in Lafayette. Should any of these stories become more public, who shall stem the torrent in the Church of New Orleans. :: V-5-g A.L.S. 2pp. 4to.
