Chanche received the note Blanc wrote on board the White. He fears he cannot go to New Orleans now; he was very anxious to see Bishop Portier. This morning 3 numbers of the "Ami de la Religion" came with the direction torn off. They might be Father Perché's. He received a letter from Father Louis R.
