Bishop Anthony Blanc left so hurriedly that Ladavière did not even think of giving him a receipt for the Propagation of the Faith. He lists the items which he took on his last trip. Mr. Vezian is to change the bank notes if more money is needed. Rousselon is to ask Vezian the amount needed for the Bishop and the amount of the above note. Ladavière is no longer confined to bed but up in a chair. His foot seems as if it might heal. P.S. He asked Vezian for a pound of incense but it has not arrived.
