Courbet last year was forced to leave the city because of the yellow fever before the public schools had appointed their teachers. He came to Attakapas but his intention always was to ask the administrators of the Catholic Asylum for an appointment as a teacher. If the administration accedes to his request, he will bring 500 books, globes, maps, etc. :: V-4-m A.L.S. French 1p. 4to.
