DeTheux received Blanc's letter of the 23rd on the 25th. Father Pierre Ladaviere, S.J. had already decided that all would be as Blanc wished so Blanc's letter put the seal on the hope DeTheux had that Father Joseph Soller, S.J. would approve of his conduct.
