Jenkins, Father Thomas J., New Hope, Kentucky to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1899 February 08

Debating upon the matter of pair of candles, he writes about a scheme he has been trying to realize. A priest friend Father John Steffen was killed in his service in 1896 and he is determined to make some memorial of him in the church. He has a quantity of badly damaged sacred vessels, almost pure silver. He asks if Edwards can have them made into a pair of candlesticks. N.B. Father Joseph Hagarty of Lebanon and Jenkins would like to have the Brother at Notre Dame restring their beads. :: XI-2-b A.L.S. 2pp.
