With her thanks for the Christmas gift she sends best wishes and also those of Mother Lucretia, C.S.C.. She hopes Edwards is happy and that his unselfish devotion to Notre Dame is appreciated. Sister M. Ambrose, C.S.C. is the guest of Mother Lucretia and a conversation anent the little curly-headed boy of years ago and his many excellent gifts of mind and heart formed the subject of their noon recreation yesterday, and proved that Edwards has friends all over the land. Their school enjoys a better attendance than it did since the death of Mother Charles. Mother Lucretia is unremitting in devising means to raise the intellectual status of the house.
