McGriskin, L. Jersey City, New Jersey to James F. Edwards Notre Dame, Indiana, 1898 November 24
Scope and Contents
The outside world looks dismal enough and he is in a sort of melancholy mood, but the faces of old friends come back. He has been thinking of all the changes since this day last year. He little forsaw what he passed thru since. He is fairly situated; he teaches the Franciscan Brothers who teach the parochial schools in Brooklyn and that supplements his salary considerably. He asks when is Edwards going to build his new library. His donation is ready at any time. If he were as wise at Notre Dame as he is there, he might have saved some money.
