Chute, Fred B. Minneapolis, Minnesota to James F. Edwards Notre Dame, Indiana, 1898 July 19
Scope and Contents
Edwards' letter gave him pleasure as he hears so little from Notre Dame except through the "Scholastic". Edwards is aware that he studied law at the University of Minnesota, took his degree in '95 and the LL.M. the next year. He gives a humorous account of his first months' law practice. He has been dabbling in politics to the extent of helping nominate good men. In that state nomination by the Republican party means almost sure election. He has worked for the nomination of William Henry Eustis for governor.
