Fish, Grace S., Newark, New Jersey to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1897 February 27
Scope and Contents
Edwards is the one man of her acquaintance who always does the right thing at the right time. It is a pleasure to be remembered by friends when away from home. She thinks she will follow Edwards' example in the future and have no more birthdays. They come entirely too often. Her friends gave her some fine pieces of pewter. So after all there is some compensation for birthdays. She feels guilty in having such a glorious time while Fred is at home digging away, allowing her to throw away his hard earned dollars. :: XI-1-o A.L.S. 8pp.
