Mohun, Father Michael, New York, New York to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1896 October 12
Scope and Contents
He was teaching at Gethsemani, Ky. Gethsemani Boarding School last year and when he left in June it was understood that he was to go back, but later received a letter informing him that he was not required. He never saw such ignorance among teachers and did not hesitate to say so. He wrote Mgr. Francis Satolli about getting back to Notre Dame, and although Satolli made inquires about him, he never answered him. He could have been back long ago but for one man, Father William Corby, C.S.C. whom Mohun used to take for a great friend of his. He has applied indirectly for admission to the Fathers of Mercy. He asks Edwards for a loan of $15. :: XI-1-n A.L.S. 3pp.
