 Item — Box: CEDW 7, Folder: 22

Scope and Contents

Thanks to dear olf Mother she was kept informed of Edwards' wherabouts during the vacation. She hopes that George Rhodius has benefited by the trip not only from a sanitary point but has been morally benefited by Edwards' association. Edwards' example at Notre Dame is a shining light to the students. She is grateful that Mother's lonely solitude is interrupted at times by a call from Edwards and Father Stanislaus Fitte, C.S.C.. They have 52 boarders there. At St. Edwards' College they were blessed with 7 new Sisters of the Order of St. Joseph, Kalamazoo; they found the kitchen and sisters' apartments in a very dilapidated condition. Her heart is at Notre Dame; she feels that she is out of the domain of human habitation. She hears that Fanny Gregori contemplates returning to America. :: XI-1-n A.L.S. 3pp.
