This old headquarter flag of the 1st Brigade, 2nd Division, 2nd Army Corps, Army of the Potomac, was first displayed at Gettysburg. Olmsted as Commander of the Brigade, on leaving his regiment, the 59th N. Y. Veteran Volunteers, appropiated the flag for his own use.
