Cherubim, C.S.C. Sister M., Austin, Texas to James F. Edwards, 1895 July 28

 Item — Box: CEDW 7, Folder: 07
Identifier: CEDW XI-1-m

Scope and Contents

The results of the election are: M. Annunciata, Mother General; M. Perpetua, Mother Superior; M. Pauline, Directress of Academy; M. Sabina, Stewardess; M. Sienna, Mistress Novices. Poor Mother Ascension has been the object of much unkindness on the part of the Sisters. At St. Mary's Academy in Austin, they are under the gentle sway of Sister Florentine, as ever a true gentlewoman. Rumor has it that Cherubim wrote an apology to M. Augusta but it is a lie. She is not sorry for what she did for Father General and Notre Dame even if it cost her life. She believes poor Mother Ascension is making her purgatory in this world. :: XI-1-m A.L.S. 4pp.
