 Item — Box: CEDW 4, Folder: 17
Identifier: CEDW XI-1-h

Scope and Contents

He congratulates Jewett on the splendid showing he made in the athletic contests at Ann Arbor. He understands that in the 100 yard rece they gave Owen the best of the start. Owen is the champion amateur sprinter of America. Nester trusts that Jewett will come to Detroit, June 14. Jewett should win the high and broad jump. James F. Edwards seemed to think favorably of Jewett's coming, so did Father Thomas E. Walsh, C.S.C. when he heard that all of the nice young men in town belong to the D. A. C.
