She thanks Edwards for the special blessing from the Holy Father. She was sorry to hear of the death of Edwards' father, but he will accept the will of God with perfect resignation. Emily Brent has decided to live with the Sisters of Holy Cross near St. Matthew's Church. But Miss Brent is very restless and cannot settle anywhere.
