Brent, Emily C., Washington, D.C., to James F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1886 March 19
Scope and Contents
She had been too busy to select the letters of Archbishop John Carroll. The pictures Edwards sent for her to select from for the oil painting are all good, but she returns the one her brother said was the best likeness of Carroll. Most of her brother's library was disposed of to a second-hand book dealer, but she will see if there are any of value left. She would be delighted to spend Holy Week at Notre Dame. His father died at Fort Leavenworth and the family have come to live at the house she was in. :: XI-1-d A.L.S. 8pp. 12mo.
