Dallas, Lt. Col. A.J., Fort Duncan, Texas to james F. Edwards, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1881 January 15

 Item — Box: CEDW 1, Folder: 20
Identifier: CEDW XI-1-b

Scope and Contents

It occured to me that Edwards might like to have the following books of the Lemonnier Library. Sopies of them are not easily found (1) Indian Good Book, by Father Eugene Vetromile, S.J. in the Abnaki language. A small number of this tribe survive in the north-eastern part of Maine. (2) dakota Vocabulary, by John P. Williamson. This illustrates the Sioux tongue. (3) Dictionary and Grammar of the language of the Cris, by Father Lacombe, Oblate of Mary Immaculate.
