E(gan), M(aurice) F(rancis): to (William J. Onahan): (Chicago, Illinois), 1893 August 14
Scope and Contents
Egan sends a duplicate of his paper, and a letter from Mt. Quinn (?). Egan gave Onahan's compliments to Fathers Morrissey and French. He knows Onahan's interest in Notre Dame did not cool with Father (Thomas E.) Walsh's death. He shall give some people in New York a piece of his mind. If "The North American" will give him ten pages he will astonish some lay Catholics. He has recovered his bearings about the "Post" incident. With McMillan's letters he can shut snarling tongues. No position could be more dignified than that of St. Paul. He asks to have some one with a clear style read his paper.
