In reply to Clarke's letter of January 28, Houck has failed to get any additional data on the life and labors of Bishop Louis Amadeus Rappe though he has written several parties on the subject. Bishop Louis Joseph De Goesbriand, a life-long friend of Rappe, could give valuable information on him. Also Bishop Joseph P. Macheboeuf would assist Clarke. P.S.
