She was glad to hear of his improvement in health, and urges him to take good care of himself. They have had a busy week at Carmel, and now again she is playing the part of "little mother" this time to Eulalia Tuckerman, whose father, a convert, has known McMaster a long time. She is from Boston; her mother remembers Sister Gertrude's mother. Sister Gertrude hopes McMaster can come to Carmel by St. Gertrude's feast day. He has received, and is receiving many prayers from Carmel. Eulalia has three brothers, all good Catholics.
