Davis, Eugene, Rome, Italy, to James Alphonsus McMaster, New York, New York, 1886 November 4

 Item
Identifier: CMMA I-2-g

Scope and Contents

Davis asks if McMaster would be interested in having Davis write a weekly Roman correspondence for him. It is the eve of Pope Leo's Jubilee Year, and Rome will be the center of Catholic interest. Davis has valuable and trustworthy sources of information at the Vatican, and is sure he could write a light and gossipy column on Catholic news that would interest Freeman readers. As references he gives the Lord Mayor of Dublin and the editor of the Dublin Freeman's Journal. :: I-2-g A.L.S. 2pp. 16mo.
