Scheideler sends his subscription fee and best wishes for the year 1883. For 20 years he has been a prompt payer and subscriber and attentive reader of the Freeman's Journal. Among all of his German and English papers, the Journal is the only one in which he looks for editorials. He hopes McMaster will persevere in regards to the Pio Nono Fair and especially in connection with Catholic schooling.
